Fresh Beer - Zero Waste
Our story starts 50 years ago with Bob Campbell moving to Aotea (Great Barrier Island) to run the fish factory. He made a high octane black and tan and kept his homebrew cold in the stream that flowed past his front door.
Fast forward two generations and we still love beer and the island and decided to bring that magic together. Aotea Brewing Company was born.
We are brewing awesome beer in an off-grid brewery for the local and visitor crew. Our beer won’t be found in a single-use bottle or can, we are committed to reducing waste on the island and have refilleries and bars where you can get your fill fresh from the keg.
